Mr. Goldstein is an experienced attorney with a background in consumer litigation, bankruptcy, internet law, administrative law, and transportation law.
Prior to working at Setliff Law, Mr. Goldstein served as the Chief Hearing Officer for the Virginia Department Motor Vehicles overseeing the office that adjudicates administrative hearings for motor vehicle issues. His previous state government experience includes five years as the Executive Director and Chief Counsel for the Virginia General Assembly’s Joint Commission on Technology and Science where he advised members and committees of the General Assembly on science and technology policy and legislation. As a private practice attorney, Mr. Goldstein represented individuals and small businesses in bankruptcy, consumer affairs, privacy, and internet matters.
Mr. Goldstein is a native of Connecticut but moved to the Richmond area in 1993. Outside of work, he spends time with his family and dog. He enjoys following his favorite sports teams; reading technology, privacy, policy, science, and science fiction/fantasy books and articles; watching science fiction/fantasy movies and television shows; and relearning to play the piano.
