Mo Sherman is an experienced litigator with years of experience in the courtroom. His career began as a Law Clerk for the Honorable T.J. Hauler, Chief Judge of the 12th Judicial Circuit of Virginia. His roles in judicial chambers included drafting letter opinions, screening pleadings and files to ensure compliance, and communication with attorneys to facilitate hearings and address other legal issues. Subsequently, he entered private practice specializing in criminal defense where he represented clients facing a wide range of charges, from minor traffic infractions to serious crimes such as malicious wounding and first-degree murder. He also handled criminal appeals in both state court and as a member of the CJA panel for the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mo strives to provide zealous, passionate, and professional advocacy that yield excellent results for his clients. He graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond Law School while serving as the Chief Justice of the Honor Council, as well as on the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy boards. He was selected as the recipient of the University of Richmond School of Law’s Outstanding Oral Advocacy Award after winning the schoolwide competition with his teammate. Additionally, Mo was selected by his law school professors to the Order of the Barristers, a national honorary organization that recognizes individuals who have excelled in advocacy and service at their respective schools.

Outside of work, Mo enjoys spending time with his two daughters, playing golf (poorly), reading, and learning new things.
