Mr. Schurig is an experienced trial attorney who represents businesses and individuals in all manners of complex commercial litigation and administrative actions. He focuses his practice in intellectual property litigation and transactions, regulatory and compliance matters, and insurance defense. He is a licensed patent attorney with prosecution, litigation, portfolio management and business strategy expertise in patent, copyright and trademark matters. Mr. Schurig also routinely advises businesses with transactional needs and operational risk exposure.
Mr. Schurig represents many entities in the transportation industry, helping them stay ahead of regulations and mitigate risk. Mr. Schurig assists clients with all forms of dispute resolution and counsels clients on minimizing their legal liabilities. Through traditional litigation, alternative dispute resolution and negotiation, he advocates for his clients with a practical, creative and aggressive approach. Mr. Schurig regularly appears before mediators, arbitrators, governmental agencies, state and federal courts, and regulatory authorities.
Prior to joining Setliff Law, Mr. Schurig defended Fortune 500 companies in commercial litigation and administrative agency proceedings at a large national law firm. Mr. Schurig is also a former Army JAG officer who served as Brigade Trial Counsel enforcing military justice as a prosecutor. Mr. Schurig is actively involved in his community, serving on various boards and coaching youth sports. He is also a zealous advocate of military veterans and routinely provides pro bono assistance for veterans seeking disability benefits.
