Mr. Stacy is an experienced attorney with a background in criminal defense and personal injury litigation. He is licensed to practice law in both Virginia and West Virginia. Mr. Stacy has extensive knowledge in a variety of general practice, criminal defense, domestic relations issues, as well as workers’ compensation.
Prior to starting work at Setliff Law, Mr. Stacy worked at the Charles A. Stacy Law Office in Bluefield, VA. In that role, he provided legal services to a wide variety of clientele and handled matters ranging from the preparation of a will or simple deed or helping injured workers through the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Act. He also handled a wide variety of criminal defense matters, ranging from the simple traffic offense all the way to serious offenses, including drug offenses and violent offenses, such as malicious wounding, robbery, burglary, and murder.
Throughout his career, Mr. Stacy has worked to zealously defend the rights of his clients while maintaining a cordial working relationship with other members of the defense bar, the prosecutors’ offices, and his counterparts throughout the legal community. Mr. Stacy is as comfortable in the courtroom as he is in his own office, or in a mediation, an arbitration, or before a special commissioner.
Outside of work, Mr. Stacy enjoys spending time with his wife, a coordinator of special education with Chesterfield County Schools; he also enjoys attempting to play golf and taking trips down to Florida and California to run in RunDisney races.
