Ryan Furgurson named a partner at Setliff Law

Setliff Law is pleased to announce Ryan Furgurson has been named a partner at Setliff Law. Since joining the firm as an associate, Mr. Furgurson has concentrated his practice in transportation law, products liability, employment law, and commercial litigation. “Ryan is one of the brightest and hardest working attorneys I have had the privilege to know and practice with over the years,” according to C. Stephen Setliff, managing partner at the firm. “We are proud to welcome him to the partnership of Setliff Law.” Mr. Furgurson has significant experience defending clients in the transportation industry and other industries against employment discrimination claims under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and whistleblower claims under the Federal Railway Safety Act and the Surface Transportation Assistance Act. He also represents employers in the retail and hospitality industries in the defense of workers compensation claims, premises liability claims and commercial litigation. His practice includes representation of utility companies, product manufacturers and other large companies in all manner of personal injury and property claims. He also represents individuals and companies in eminent domain proceedings, business disputes and other commercial litigation. Mr. Furgurson, a graduate of Duke University and Emory University School of Law, is active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors for FC Richmond Youth Soccer Club. He also served for several years as the Chair of the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Pro Bono Legal Clinic.
