Katie graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1986 with a degree in Administration of Justice with a Legal Studies concentration. In the summer between her junior and senior year she interned with the Honorable James B. Wilkinson in the Richmond City Circuit Court, during which she determined she wanted a career in the legal field. She has 38 years of experience in law firms, taking her first legal job during her senior year at VCU, and working in the law ever since.

Katie has been the firm administrator for Setliff Law, and its predecessor, since its founding in June, 2006. Katie was selected as one of Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s Unsung Legal Heroes in 2020. When she is not working, Katie loves spending time with her daughter, son, son-in-law, granddaughter and two dogs.
